MagRabbit received the 3rd MBE of the Year Award from SMSDC in 2016. SMSDC is a Minority Supplier Development Council with a very clear mission of Certifying, Developing, Connecting and Advocating. It has HQ in Austin to cover is the state of Texas, and Oklahoma State.
"Minority-owned firms that are succeeding in the marketplace are certainly equal to, and in many instances superior to, other companies in terms of the service they deliver to major corporations," said by SMSDC. The companies are divided into three classes according to annual sales and are nominated by their corporate customers. They are evaluated on the basis of company history, growth in sales and employment, quality of products, delivery of service, competitiveness, community involvement, and obstacles overcome as a result of heritage or background.
The Southwest Minority Supplier Development Council (SMSDC) established in 1999, is the minority business owner’s direct link to corporate America. It is one of 23 Regional Councils of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC). Last year, SMSDC’s Corporate Members spent more than $8 billion dollars with minority businesses. Our 511 minority businesses employed more than 34,000 people, of which 21,000 were the minority. Its corporate members represent 18 different industries from advertising and automotive manufacturing, to steel production and high technology.
